Trust Your Care to Dr. Christopher M. Campus

Dr. Campus was born and raised in Pensacola, where he has been practicing since 2008. In 2012, Dr. Campus attended and completed the Comprehensive Implant Residency Program at the McCracken Implant Education Center in Bessemer, Alabama. The fourteen-month program formed the basis and provided incredible hands-on education and treatment of the full spectrum of implant dentistry including site development and bone grafting, use of platelet rich fibrin (PRF), single tooth implant placement and restoration, and full arch reconstruction (All-on-X). He has been placing and restoring implants ever since.

The initial training with Dr. McCracken started the implant journey that continues to this day. Dr. Campus utilizes robotically assisted dental implant placement for minimal invasion and maximum accuracy. He utilizes the latest technology for efficient planning and the fastest “time to teeth” possible with same-day crowns and implant restorations through the use of iCat cone beam CT scan, SprintRay 3D printers, digital intra-oral scanning (instead of traditional impressions), and photogrammetry.

Unfortunately, in 2020, Dr. Campus lost his best friend and hero, his father, to Alzheimer’s disease. This singular event led to him learning more about brain health and development of his personal health journey and routine to do all he can to be as healthy as he can for as long as possible. Since then, he is very active and passionate about his exercise routine, which includes other modalities for health and longevity optimization. These things include cold plunging, HOCATT (Hyperthermic Ozone Carbonic Acid Transdermal Therapy), Red Light Therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and the use of HUGO (High intensity PEMF). All of these things play a role in and are important in total body health, mitochondrial health, and the reduction of systemic inflammation and detoxification of environmental factors we all are exposed to daily.

With the use of these modalities and technology at Biodental Health and Longevity, our goal is overall body health and wellness with a dental component incorporating oral health as the foundation to the health and healing of the rest of the body. The gut:brain and mouth:body connections are proven and cannot be separated. Many systemic health conditions begin with an unhealthy mouth and unhealthy oral microbiome (the naturally occurring balance of good and bad organisms in our mouth).

Everything we do at Biodental Health and Longevity is evaluated to establish a baseline and then measured to determine success and a continually customized approach to improve overall health. This is done with the use of PNOE (metabolic breath analysis), Styku (body composition), in-office VitaminD testing, OralDNA saliva and genetic testing.

Establishing a healthy body begins with a healthy mouth. One is rarely seen without the other, since it is all connected, even if the traditional way dentistry and medicine are practiced divides the two. Dr. Campus utilizes all metal-free restorations and safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings. When it is indicated for teeth to be removed, he utilizes PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) and other biologics, with the use of the Fotona Lightwalker Laser, and ozone to properly disinfect and develop the site for a ceramic dental implant. Dr. Campus has placed thousands of titanium implants in his career. They are and have been considered the gold standard in implant dentistry. However, he has transitioned to ceramic dental implants from Swiss Dental Solutions due to the more biocompatible nature of the material and more esthetic appearance (white, instead of metal). One major advantage to these implants is the way that the gums attach to a ceramic implant and abutment with minimal to no inflammation as is commonly seen with titanium implants.

Dr. Campus is happy to discuss any and all things mentioned above and is passionate about helping you look and feel better. It is about more than just a smile and “fixing a tooth”, it’s about helping you feel better and determining what in your mouth may be holding you back and contributing to other problems you probably have never considered being related to your mouth.
